Some of the most productive agricultural land in South Africa can be found in Bonnievale. The natural beauty of this area is complemented by rich soils and ample water for irrigation - ideal conditions for cultivating high quality wines. The lime rich soil and unique climate gives Bonnievale the natural attributes to growers and wineries in the region and therefor Bonnievale is well known for its excellent wines, including Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz.

Wine Cellars

Not only is Bonnievale Wine Cellar located in the scenic, verdant and fertile Breede River Valley, we are also in the enviable position of having three different cellar locales which allows us to manage a wider selection of grape and wine categories, thus enabling us to meet the varying wine style requirements of different markets and buyers.

We are able to manage each of our grape and wine classes altogether independently of each other, making it possible for us to track the grapes from the best wines back to not just the actual tank, but the exact vineyard where they were produced. The owners of these vineyards are encouraged to practise advanced grape growing techniques, to ensure that the cellar is able to produce premium wines year after year.
