PETROCHEMICAL: Titan To Boost Yokogawa Service
Recent Western Cape Business News
TITAN Technology, the well-known Cape-based process control instrumentation (PCI) specialists, have been appointed sole distributors in the Western Cape for Yokogawa PCI equipment as from September.
The move, says Rob Oliaro, Yokogawa’s regional manager in the Western Cape, is seen as a significant boost to Yokogawa’s market penetration and customer service in the area.
Titan will look after Yokogawa’s existing and new clients, providing a full back-up service including engineering solutions and installations.
Titan will hold stock of Yokogawa equipment at its Saxenburg Park premises which includes a workshop and calibration lab.
The company guarantees attractive pricing and offers an unbeatable service.
“There is considerable synergy between the two companies,” says Yokogawa’s Oliaro, “with Titan’s company owner Peter Maltman, contributing its considerable experience and expertise, its local knowledge and excellent client relation-ships, whilst we supply world-class equipment for which Yokogawa is famous.”
Yokogawa SA enjoys an enviable reputation as a turnkey supplier of high performance, high quality process control and field instrumentation systems and service in the South African chemical, petro-chemical, mining, pulp and paper, sugar, power generation and iron and steel industries.
The company operates on behalf of the Japanese company Yokogawa Electric Corporation out of its head office in Johannesburg, with satellite offices in Cape Town and Durban supported through a network of certified and fully authorised distribution agents.
Markets in the rest of Africa served by Yokogawa SA include Ghana, Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana and Mauritius.
