PROPERTY: Super-Brands Makes Its Stand In Cape Town
Recent Western Cape Business News
High visibility and exposure to those travelling along the Airport Approach Road just off the N2 at Cape Town International Airport clinched the decision for Super-Brands to take occupation of 2390sqm of warehousing, plus office space in Airport Industria in a transaction concluded through Pam Golding Commercial (PGC).
Seamus Daly, PGC leasing, sales and investment consultant who negotiated the lease, which has a capital value of R6.7 million, says the modern building will be utilised for distribution.
"Operating in South Africa out of Johannesburg and Cape Town, Super-Brands have centralised their local distribution from this sizeable warehouse, with an additional, smaller warehouse in the near vicinity. Having recently opened a number of new stores in centres such as Canal Walk, Super-Brands - who market sought after sporting brands which include Canterbury, Dunlop, Slazenger and Karrimor - are upbeat and poised to capitalise on the anticipated economic recovery.
"Bounded by the N2, Airport Approach Road and Borchards Quarry, Airport Industria is an established and sought after area, with rentals somewhat more competitive at around R35 per square metre as opposed to approximately R40 in nearby Airport City. In addition to providing maximum visibility to local, out of town and international business executives and travellers, the strategic positioning of the site affords easy access to the airport itself as well as being on a major route into the city of Cape Town and its surrounds," says Daly.
