Dave Russell, a director of Baker Street Properties, says that the company’s success in Century City continues, with recently concluded leases having taken the total area of office space leased or sold by Baker Street in this popular node to 30,000m².
Russell adds, “Since the beginning of the year another 10 leases have been signed with companies such as MTN, Thebe Tourism, Paracon, Sizwe Nstaluba and Discovery, who have all been successfully placed in various properties in Century City by Baker Street Properties. A 5 year lease has been concluded with MTN, who have taken the entire Heron Place building, which is located on Century Boulevard, and measures 4,700m² with 170 parking bays. Thebe Tourism has taken 2,000m² in Waterview Park and Paracon 750m² in The Estuaries, both for 5 years.
“Our success in this office node has been our ability to identify and secure the right property at the right price, for tenants looking for the right solution to their office requirements.”
“Activity in the office leasing sector throughout Cape Town remains active as tenants take positions in a competitive market. Landlords are keen to offer attractive lease terms to quality tenants, allowing them to secure office space on competitive terms. Tenants are advised to speak to Baker Street Properties to find out more about the opportunities available in today’s market,” concludes Russell.
