TRANSPORT: Hail Taxi-Trucks
Recent Western Cape Business News
TAXI-Trucks Logistics, the Cape Town company which celebrated its 15th year in business last month, has grown from a small company moving garments for the CMT (cut, make and trim) industry in the Western Cape to a full-service logistics company with a national footprint. Taxi-Trucks now employ over 300 people and operate 120 vehicles.
Taxi-Trucks moves approximately 120 tons per night by road out of Cape Town.
This provides clients with an overnight service to George and Port Elizabeth and a 48 hour service to Bloemfontein, Johannesburg, Durban and East London. Deliveries further afield are delivered to Taxi-Trucks hubs in George, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, Johannesburg and Durban for on forwarding of remote area deliveries.
A full track and trace facility is available and customers can view PODs (Proof of Delivery) as well as obtain invoices and statements off the Internet.
A host of features, customized to client requirements, are available off the Taxi-Trucks Portal.
Taxi-Trucks owns its own line-haul fleet with full GPS tracing and air-ride suspension on all its vehicles to provide the softest ride for customer’s freight.
“When we evaluate customer’s requirements our team, consisting of operational, financial and risk management staff provide a tailor-made total solution specific to our customer’s needs,” says national sales manager, Gavin Wright.
