PIRTEK Cape Town’s approach to the local hydraulic sector is to provide a quick and efficient service to its customers via mobile vans, which carry a large array of hydraulic hose fittings and adaptors for installation on customer’s premises. It specialise in both emergency repair work, which is available on a 24/7 basis 365 days of the year as well as larger installation projects.
The company says the advantage of being able to make up hydraulic hoses on site is that it cuts out the unnecessary down time when a machine goes down. Secondly, hoses can be made to customer’s specification immediately after the requirements have been established without having to ‘run around town’ looking for somebody to make up hoses who might not necessary be equipped to make the right decision.
Thirdly, the customer gets to see his machine up and running again once the repair or installation has been effected and can then determine whether there are any further leaks that need to be addressed immediately.
“A hydraulic hose under pressure is a potentially lethal object if not made with the correct combination of hose and fittings, which meets the application required. As a result of our quick and efficient service we by implication provide our customers with further benefits like quick turnaround time for cylinder, pump and valve repairs, which are tackled in our workshop,” says director Wayne Voigt. “Our quick response time in terms of arriving on site and our efficient replacement of hydraulic hoses just about any where our vehicles can go is a benefit to many of the industries in the Western Cape,” he says.
There are also other Pirtek branches (16 in total) scattered around South Africa to cater for the company’s transport and national customers.
Pirtek Cape Town also caters for clients who prefer bringing in their hydraulic problems to its workshop in Goodwood. A technician is onsite to take care of these needs as well.
