EDUCATION: Sasol Promotes Maths and Science to High School Learners

With an established reputation as an employer of choice, Sasol offers a comprehensive all-inclusive bursary programme that is regarded as one of the most competitive in the market. The programme covers all of the student’s needs, which include tuition fees, accommodation, meals, text books, study tools (e.g. laptop and calculator) and pocket money.
“The purpose of these workshops is two-fold. It is to interest learners in courses in Science and Engineering-related fields, as well as to attract young exceptional talent to Sasol,” said Monica Luwes, Manager: Graduate Centre, Sasol Corporate Bursary Services.
For the 2018 academic year, Sasol is looking for top performing learners interested in studying towards a B Eng or BSc Eng in Civil, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Mechanical and Mining engineering. Other options include a BSc in Chemistry, Metallurgy and Geoscience or B.Com or B.Sc Accounting (CA stream).
Learners interested in studying Instrumentation, Mining Survey and Mechanical or Electrical Engineering at any of South Africa’s universities of technology are also welcome to apply.
To be considered, applicants need to have obtained 80% for Maths; 70% for Science and 60% for English. Sasol also provides postgraduate opportunities in Science and Engineering fields for deserving students. Upon successful completion of their full-time studies, Sasol bursars also have the opportunity to be employed by Sasol through our Graduate Development Programme.
