ENGINEERING: Built To Customer Specs

Recent Western Cape Business News

AT GRW’S manufacturing plant in Worcester, every tank is designed and built to meet each customer’s exact requirements, whether it is for the transport of chemicals, acids, LPG, automotive or aviation fuel, dry bulk, edible or black products. Importantly, most all of the work is undertaken in-house.

A recent addition to the product range is the Intermodal swap tank. These are available in capacities from 30 000 up to and including 35 000 litres. The design has been ‘fine tuned’ taking feedback from tank users into consideration, ensuring a user friendly and versatile product.

Uniquely, the tank is approved to a maximum permissible gross mass of 39 000kg allowing a larger range to be transported in areas where higher vehicle loads are accepted.

Specifications can be adjusted to suit each customer’s needs, taking advantage of some of the most modern design, engineering and manufacturing techniques available today.

Lately, the company has also become a supplier of various tanks into the military in foreign countries. Units are designed and specified for various application needs. Models can range from 50 000l Tandem Semis, various drawbar and rigid configuration and ISO tank containers. Military units are designed to military specification and requirements, this over and above the standard international mandatory code requirement.
