Davantoni Projects will launch the first, entirely A-Grade office park at Capricorn Park, an eco-friendly development at a cost in excess of R50 million.
According to Davantoni Projects spokesman Tony Behr, “Discovery Lake Office Park comprises five stand-alone, yet integrated, office blocks ranging in size from 700m²to 1500m², with a total lettable area of 6300m²”.
He added: “A generous parking allowance of 4.25 bays per 100m2 and large landscaped areas will make this a unique, attractive and sustainable working neighbourhood”.
“Because Capricorn Park is set alongside and within a wider environmentally sensitive protected area, comprehensive development conditions apply. The precinct has emerged as an un-congested, open and free flowing commercial and industrial area”.
“In keeping with these surroundings, Davantoni Projects intend to integrate many ‘green’ building materials and principals. The design of energy efficient buildings that maximise the use of sustainable resources such as light, ventilation, and electricity is not only good for reducing operating costs, but is appropriate to our times”, he said.
“We intend registering our project with a view to applying for a Green Star Rating”, Behr concluded.
Occupation will be available towards the end of 2010.
