MATERIALS HANDLING: PnP Picks Goscor Again For Boost
Recent Western Cape Business News
GOSCOR Lift Truck Company (GLTC) has supplied another batch of materials handling machines to the Pick n Pay distribution centre at Phillippi in the Western Cape.
GLTC MD Darryl Shafto says the long-standing relationship between the two companies is one he is proud of. “We have worked closely with the Pick n Pay team over the years and they have helped us to develop a unique insight into their business requirements. I look at every new order from them as an important vote of confidence in our company,” Shafto says.
GLTC’s branch manager in the Western Cape, Anthony Fouche, says Crown products have exceeded customer’s expectations time and again. “The aim of the Crown designers and engineers is to offer the highest level of reach truck performance, while minimising energy consumption. Crown’s innovative approach to fine tuning and controlling cutting-edge systems is what sets the range apart from the competitors.”
He adds that while it is supplying world-class technology, it is the after-sales backup and technical expertise that makes the difference. “Speed and reliability of service is all important. Especially in the warehouse business, one of the crucial factors for success is the minimisation of downtime and we consistently aim to give our customers the requisite service to ensure this happens.”
GLTC is the sole distributor in South Africa of some of the most famous brands in the materials handling industry. Aside from Crown, they distribute Doosan, Bendi and, most recently, Hubtex.
