MARKETING: Sell-Out Packaging Show a Winner
Recent Western Cape Business News
LATEST technologies, developments and a wide range of products and equipment were show-cased at the recent Propak Cape 2011 and co-located shows, held at the Cape Town International Conference Centre (CTICC) in Cape Town.
Propak Cape 2011 together with FoodPro, Pro-Plas Expo, Pro-Label Cape and Print Expo brought exhibitors together across the various sectors enabling visitors from Cape Town and throughout Southern Africa to engage with the most progressive companies in the country.
Exhibition manager, Michelle Bedser, says she’s encouraged by the positive outcome of the show with increased numbers for both visitors and exhibitors over the previous show in 2008. “Exhibition space was sold out months before the show and we even had a waiting list of companies who were hoping for any cancellations, which didn’t happen.”
“The co-located shows covered a broad spectrum of packaging, food processing, printing, labelling and plastics, providing exhibitors with an excellent opportunity to generate sales and sales leads as well as valuable business networking.”
“Our visitor numbers also increased with visitors not only from the Cape Town and Western Cape region but also from a wide geographic spread across South Africa and Southern Africa. Exhibitors commented on the high quality of visitors and the success achieved at the show.”
“Many of our exhibitors have already signed for Propak Cape 2014 based on their successes achieved this year,” Bedsor says.
Propak Cape took place at the CTICC from 25-27 October and was organized by Specialised Exhibitions, which is a member of the Exhibition Association of Southern Africa.
