VinPro – the representative organisation for South African wine producers – will soon be spearheaded by a new executive director, while adding three new directors to its board.
Rico Basson, will lead VinPro as executive director from 1 December 2011. He was previously employed at FNB Commercial as regional manager: agriculture for the Western and Eastern Cape and has 18 years’ experience in the banking industry with a strong focus on the agricultural sector, including the wine industry. He succeeds Jos le Roux.
Jos le Roux has been appointed as specialist director, following his retirement as VinPro’s first executive director after nine years.
Mutle Mogase joins the VinPro board as a specialist director. He is the executive chairman of Vantage Capital Group, an investment and fund management group. Mogase succeeds Conrad Sidego, who retired due to his commitments as mayor of Stellenbosch.
Petrus Bosman, executive director of Bosman Farms near Wellington, is the elected VinPro director for the Paarl district.
