THE second annual AgriWorks Farmers Expo is gearing up for an interesting show with arrangements and bookings well under way. Visitors to the previous year’s event were impressed with the variety of agricultural produce and machinery that were on show. The AgriWorks will take place from 10 to 12 November at the Van der Stel Sport Grounds in Stellenbosch. After the success of last year’s show, the organisers, Cadek Media, have now decided to make the event an annual institution.
The expo focuses on farming, research, agricultural produce and equipment and is open to all sectors of the farming community, with a special focus on the wine and fruit sectors. Exhibiting companies will showcase products such as tractors, fencing, irrigation and fertilization.
About seventy percent of the exhibition space has already been sold and exhibiting companies include Rovic & Leers, Hyundai, Hoffmann, Scales Inc., Bell Equipment, Toyota Fork Lift, Kärcher, Jaytrade, NTT Volkswagen, Southtrade, VB Agri and many more.
The expo, being hosted in the heart of the winelands, will have a strong focus on the suppliers to wine cellars and the wine industry. A special section will be set apart at the expo and this is called the ‘WineBiz Suppliers Emporium’ and includes suppliers, services and equipment that the winemaker will need in his cellar. Exhibitors include companies such as Vintec and Wine Machinery.
