Recent Western Cape Business News
CAPE TOWN is getting ready for the first Marketing Indaba which will be held at the CTICC on 19 and 20 May. The Marketing Indaba incorporates a marketing conference and five co-located exhibitions: AdExpo, Promo Expo, ICT Expo, PrintPack, and CRM Expo. The event focuses on the marketing industry as a whole and aims to attract industry role-players from across the Western Cape and South Africa.
The PrintPack Expo at Marketing Indaba will host exhibits of the latest innovations and technologies offered by the printing and packaging industries. “Marketers play a huge role in the decision making process when it comes to the design and printing of marketing collateral as well as final packaging materials for their products,” says Chris de Klerk, organiser and owner of CADEK Media “PrintPack Expo is therefore perfectly positioned with the upcoming Marketing Indaba at CTICC.”
Building on the momentum that was created by the Mega Media and AdExpos in previous years, CADEK Media decided to co-locate all marketing and advertising related shows under its new Marketing Indaba umbrella. Marketing Indaba now includes five attractive shows in order to offer visitors the latest industry developments in advertising, marketing, communication, technology, promotions, customer relations, printing and packaging.
Marketing Indaba promises to offer many networking opportunities where visitors can meet like-minded executives and industry peers from various industries. With SME’s and larger agencies already confirming their participation, the event ensures a good platform for cross-industry knowledge exchange. Sharing marketing trends, ideas and solutions will be at the heart of all visitors and delegates.
The two-day conference will offer a focussed programme including topics such as digital marketing, integration of marketing channels and online brand management. Some of the confirmed speakers include Mike Freedman (Freed-thinkers), Deon Robbertze (Ogilvy Earth), Will Green (Apurimac Media), Chris-tine da Silva (NeoOgilvy), Godfrey and Karen Parkin (Britefire), Garreth Bloor (Memeburn), Graeme Haley (Thumbtribe) and Dan Pinch (Atmosphere Communications) and also include a panel discussion by members of the CMO Council.
