S&N Labels has earned its reputation as a total labelling solutions company. “We offer solutions for diverse labelling and bar-coding requirements and produce of a wide range of manufactured labels. We are also specialist suppliers of world class hardware”, says S&N Labels marketing manager, Marlene Mey.
From the outset, the company, which has been awarded GS1 accreditation, focused on delivering a wide range of superior quality products supported by exceptional service - a philosophy that established the company as an industry leader that has enjoyed phenomenal growth during its relatively short history, Mey says.
The company’s wide range of labels is complemented by a range of thermal and thermal transfer printers, software, printing ribbons and scanning equipment. Wax resin or resin ribbon for the majority of thermal transfer printers are also supplied.
The fully equipped Jet Park factory offers state-of-the-art technology and houses nine flexo die cutters and eight rewind stations. “We also have a comprehensive die list with label sizes suited to a number of market sectors. Our service offering includes die-cut self adhesive labels, blank labels, Flexo printed four colour labels with lamination, three colour with UV varnish, thermal transfer premium, direct thermal, semi-gloss, polypropy-lene, converter material including highly specialised void and polyester materials”, says Mey.
According to Mey, a major portion of self adhesive products are customised to customer specifications. “We will always endeavour to accommodate any specific requirements of colour, size, quantity and so on.”
In addition to a variety of specialised adhesives available to comply with certain applications, the company also manufactures an extensive range of raw materials, including polyprop, polyester, void, syntex, cover all, board and alufoil labels.
S&N Labels is the official distributor for Intermec, Datamax and the Zebra, including printers and scanners for a variety of industries as well as other OEM brands of bar-coding equipment. Available software includes Label Matrix, Label View, Bartender and Zebra Designer and the company also secured the rights to distribute 3M label converter materials nationally.
A fully equipped pre-printing bureau, consisting of four thermal transfer/direct thermal printers and two computers, ensures maximum output and is capable of printing any barcode, graphic or serial numbers. This service is available to customers whose printing requirements do not warrant the cost of purchasing a printer.
With good ‘hands on’ experience, the S&N Labels technical department can attend to and resolve any hardware challenge and also provides assistance with the setting up new systems and effective maintenance of existing systems, Mey says.
S&N Labels has excellent support structures in place with national representation in all main centres; a branch in Durban, sound business relationships with dealers in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth and the more recently established associate company, S&N Labels Cape based in Stikland. “This enables us to offer effective, professional servicing of some large corporate contracts across the country”, says Mey.
S&N technicians are trained to assist with installation of printers, scanners and software and can also provide brief customer training sessions. A well trained sales team is always on standby to advise customers on the best solutions for individual hardware requirements. S&N Labels complies with government legislation and has met has met all the necessary requirements to become a Level 2 BEE contributor with a score card of 95.58%.
