MARKETING: Industry's Main Show Previewed

Recent Western Cape Business News

FOLLOWING the success of the inaugural show in 2008 the Industrial Showcase Cape is making it’s return to the CTICC from the 5 to 7 May 2010.

In tough times like these there is even more reason to visit the show as it provides an ideal opportunity to browse, compare prices and service levels with those in the industrial sector who demonstrate confidence in their businesses. In addition, it’s the perfect platform to meet potential suppliers at this ‘One Stop Shop’ and to forge new working relationships,” says the organiser Johnny Malherbe.

Exhibitions offer a wonderful opportunity for visitors to compare products in a friendly, non threatening environment, as well as allowing the visitor to touch, see, hear and experience the actual products themselves. No other medium offers this,” he says.

This will be the ideal platform to view a comprehensive range of industrial solutions and products under one roof – ranging from but not exclusive to abrasives, air compressors, automation and control, cables and accessories, electric motors and drives, engineering supplies, generators, bearings, belt-ing, power transmission, materials handling, electrical and electronic equipment, chemical and plastics, power tools, geared motors, pneu-matics and hydraulics, fastening and fixing, pumps, racking and shelving, switchgear, telecommunications and so on.

Exhibitors include such well-known names as ABB, Abso Industries, Atlas Copco, Barlo-world, Bearing Man Group, Bolt Fast, Broadcrown, Cape Heat Exchange, CCG Cable, Compair, Criterion Equipment, Dexion Storage, Electric Assemblies, E M L, Fabrinox, FEW, Goscor, Gripper, Reynolds Group, Rapid Allweiler, S K F, Tyco Valves & Controls, Zest Electric Motors.

There is also a number of new exhibitors at the show this year who are bound to attract attention and add to the success of the show. They include Festo, SEW Geared Motors, Electro-mechanica, AC DC Dynamics, New Way Engineering, Skiffy, Rubicon Electrical and Automation, CBI, D & D Industrial, Denco Automated, Powermite, 3 D Agencies, Siemens, Masslift, Bolt & Engineering Distributors, BB Cranes, R S Components, and W.D.Hearn Machine Tools - all bringing new and innovative products servicing the entire industrial sector, according to Malherbe.

The idea is for companies to recognise the value of the show and bring all of their relevant staff to view what’s the latest on display.”

Once again many of the Elektra members will be showcasing their products, giving the visitor the opportunity to view what’s new in the electrical field - very relevant in the light of the Eskom debate. The Elektra group is made up of importers, manufacturers and distributors that cover the entire electrical spectrum,” Malherbe says.
