Recent Western Cape Business News
THE South African arm of global oilfield procurement business, Craig International Supplies (CIS), is beefing up its efforts in Cape Town.
It has appointed Thinus Von Waltsleben to manage the business from brand new offices in Montague Gardens.
Von Waltsleben has been appointed to drive the South African operation and has been involved with the Angolan oil industry since 1998.
In addition CIS has recently moved to bigger premises to accommodate predicted growth in business.
The appointment coupled with the move to bigger, more modern premises represents an increased offering of services by CIS to the African oil and gas sector, the company says.
The business can supply the entire range of products for all seismic, drilling, exploration, production and transportation operations in the oil and gas industry.
CIS is a division of global shipping and energy services firm the Craig Group. The South African section of the business is complemented by bases in Houston and Aberdeen.
Originally one of the leading oilfield supply houses for the North Sea oil and gas sector, CIS says it has continually developed its international business and has the capability to supply a comprehensive range of products to the oil and gas industry worldwide.
Operating in the region for ten years, CIS works extensively within the North and East African market place.
CIS is a division of Craig Group, a global shipping and energy services firm head-quartered in Aberdeen with a turnover in excess of £100 million. Craig Group has four specialist divisions with experience in the areas of offshore support vessels, oilfield procurement, fishing and leisure. It is one of Scotland’s top 100 companies and ranked in the top 20 offshore service providers in the North-east of Scotland.
